With yesterday being the 100th anniversary of President Ronald Reagan's birthday, there have been a lot of people honoring his legacy. While I most definitely disagree with a lot of his policies, especially when it comes to things like how he handled the beginning of the AIDS crisis, I have respect for his willingness to serve our country.
The right wing of the GOP still likes to hold him up as one of their heroes, so it shouldn't be too surprising that it was mostly Republican elected officials who were issuing tributes to him over the last couple days. Nonetheless, there were some Democrats out there honoring him as well. One of those was Virginia's Jim Webb who, as he points out in his speech, actually served in the Reagan Administration.
