Gerry Connolly to Hold Telephone Community Forum Tonight

According to a statement I got from Rep. Gerry Connolly’s office, Gerry will be holding another telephone town hall tonight starting at 8:40pm. If you want to make sure that you are able to participate, you can contact his office directly by following this link and filling out the form by noon today if you want to participate in the townhall. It should be noted that the conference call is only open to residents of the 11th Congressional District, which includes portions of Prince William County, Fairfax County, and the City of Fairfax.

This will be the 6th telephone town hall that Gerry's held and I've always heard positive feedback from people who participated. Of course, he's also very good about getting out into the community and taking part in discussions with his constituents. I know that during the district work week the House had recent, for instance, he participated in at least two dozen public events and has participated in even more in the time since. I’ve been to several off the townhalls that he’s held all across the district and the discussion has generally been a very good exchange of ideas, which isn’t something that you always see at these type of events. Although they are obviously just a portion of the work that he's done in reaching out to the community, I think these town halls have been a very useful way for Gerry to remain in touch with his constituents. After all, even the telephone townhalls have been very interesting because they attract a large number of people who might not have the time to attend a traditional town hall. With that in mind, make sure you sign up by noon today if you want to make sure you get to participate in the call.
