President Clinton is Released From the Hospital

We received some good news this morning as President Bill Clinton was released from the hospital this morning. Clinton had been admitted to the hospital after having some "brief discomfort" in his chest and it was discovered that one of the arteries in his heart was blocked. He therefore had to have an operation to put a stent in place. If you want a little more information on what happened, here is some video from a segment on Good Morning America where they discuss the treatment that Clinton received.

I, of course, wish President Clinton a speedy recovery and am very pleased to see that he has already been released from the hospital. According to what Terry McAullife, who is good friends with the Clinton family, had to say, the former president was already back to work continuing the efforts he's been making with his foundation to help with the relief effort in Haiti.
The former president walked into the hospital on his own and even took part in a conference call on Haitian relief as he was wheeled into the operating room.

"Literally they were taking him into the room, hitting those double doors that open, he was on a conference call regarding Haiti and Doug Band had to say, 'Mr. President, that's it, we are taking your phone away from you,'" Clinton family friend Terry McAuliffe told George Stephanopoulos on "Good Morning America." this morning. "I mean if President Clinton had his way, George, while they were doing the operation he'd be working the phone, raising money for Haiti and trying to get trucks and generators into Haiti. That is just who he is."
